A Small Visit to Bandar School!!

Last Saturday, Yo-Splinter's Crew(Stuart,Ryan and Edward) drop in a small visit to one of the school(Chung Hwa Middle School) in the Capital City. After the students finished their lesson.. most of the kids dash to our small corner and was amazed by our demo tricks.. A part from that, we met some new Beginner yo yo players from time to time.. they were full of curiosity and want to see more trick..

Yo-Splinter crews don't mind to sweat during the demo... the weather wasn't that cool at that moment. We spend there almost two hour there entertaining the Kids and Parents.. plus we also did answer many question from the kids..

Tough day for us but at least we saw some future yoyo players... hope that some day we can drop by at their school and do some demo for them...

Here i got more Details and Updates from Trevor.. The name is called "P213ML", actually the very 1st mod was done by DocPop then Chris Neff (former duncan crew). So now Trevor put it to next level....The ingredient use in making this mod is A half a ThrowMonkey & half a ProFire, Beef cakes bearings to Grip the Thick strings and plus in a Z-hub to do a top ripcord launch.

Yo-SPlinter Meet

This time it is just Nathan & Stuart appears @ the gathering last Sunday. Despite the numbers of players, we had fun in sharing each others experience in yoyoing. We did some 2a & 4a practice. Before I head back to Seria, I had a dinner with Nathan family at RMS. Gave one Duncan tee and one Amber Glitter FH0 for Nathan birthday.

Dear members of the Spinning community,

We are aware of the enthusiasm and excitement that everyone has for the Asia Pacific Yo-yo Championships, also affectionately known as "AP". There has been a lot of speculation about where and when it will be held and this goes to show that the spinning scene has been thriving, serving a great motivation for us all.




Our initial plan was to continue this year following the success of 2008 where everyone had a great time. However, due to adverse economic conditions, it has been an uphill battle for our organising team to secure an appropriate venue and sponsorships from corporate sponsors. One of the main problems was because AP was traditionally held in the festive peak season, clashing with several other major events. This puts us at a disadvantage as we are competing with other more established events for venue and funding.




We have identified this as a yearly problem and we had an early discussion with the leading representatives of participating countries, together with the feedback gathered from previous participants, it seems the solution would be to revamp the event and shift the competition period to an off-peak season of the year. Due to different variations of holidays and exam periods of different countries, our collected information shows that end March will accommodate most people. We understand that some countries may be affected by this shift but we will try our best to fine tune this event constantly.




The organizing team deeply regrets for causing any disappointment for the postponement of AP but we strongly believe this move will be for the better good. We thank you all for the patience and your continuous support. Let us all train hard and gather together in end March 2010 in Singapore to showcase the true spirit of spinning to the World. Further details will be released towards the event.

Stuart, Edward and Prof had their meeting @ Yayasan on 16th August. Ryan and Jacky later joined us for a while. 3 of them did some practice on yoyoing. Prof practice on his 1A and learning some new tricks. Edward practice with his 5A and trying to figure out how to use "leg" combos, He also practice on 4A & 2A tricks. Duncan's Screaming Eagle Mayhem & Vendetta

I guess you still remember about Duncan new product Screaming Eagle, more info was post on their site about the release.

"The products in this line are collaborations between Duncan and the an exclusive group of designers including, the Duncan Crew, international graffitti writers and top flight engineers. This has produced exceptional designs with beautiful finish and unyielding play. Simply put, these yoyos are some of the best.

First up is the Vendetta, to be released at the preliminary competition of the IYYO in New York, NY. This is a soul players yoyo. This is Duncan's first yoyo with a big bearing and maximum rim weight. It has more of an angular profile and a huge string gap. These first editions will be available in ultra limited gold and when they are gone they will not be produced in this colour ever again.

Next up is the MayheM. This yoyo will be released at the World Yo-Yo Contest in Orlando, Florida on August 15th at 10 AM EST. Slightly undersized, slick coated, long spinning and a beast of a performer. This yoyo is designed for the upper limits of single A competition. It has a more organic shape and has the widest bearing gap possible with the standard duncan sized bearing. This yoyo will be available in multiple colours."

Simply put, you want these yoyos and there will be one more model available as a preview only at worlds. The third yoyo will be a surprise to everyone and is positive to have you scrambling for one or three.

Paul Yath from USA drop an e-mail to us about his new upcoming yoyo. I believe it is made from celcon with big bearing. I still have no info about this yoyo yet other than the name, will update you guys when more details are available.
